The WYBOT C2 is a cordless pool robot that cleans the floor, walls and waterline, with a two layer filter that catches fine silt. At $499.99 on sale it is a good value for pools with fine dirt, but it has no smart mapping, and the Beatbot AquaSense 2 offers more runtime and a longer warranty for a bit more.
What the WYBOT C2 is
The C2 is a midrange cordless robot pool cleaner from WYBOT. It cleans the floor, walls, waterline, steps and slopes in above ground and in-ground pools of any shape, with tile, concrete, vinyl or fiberglass surfaces, up to about 2,152 square feet WYBOT C2 ↗.
WYBOT also sells a C2 Vision with AI vision cleaning, which the standard C2 does not have WYBOT C2 ↗ WYBOT ↗. This review covers the standard C2.
We have not tested it ourselves. Hands on testing is in progress, and we will update this review with our results.
What it does well
Filtration is the standout. The C2 uses two layers: a 180 micron cartridge for larger debris and a 10 micron ultra fine net for silt, with 3 liters of filter capacity WYBOT C2 ↗. Bob Vila tested it in a screened Florida pool where fine dirt and silt were the main problem and said it left the water noticeably cleaner after each cycle Bob Vila ↗. Its reviewer found the filter system easy to clean Bob Vila ↗.
It offers lots of control for the price. The app has 7 cleaning modes, including floor only, wall only, waterline only, Turbo and Eco, and 6 cleaning paths WYBOT C2 ↗. You can schedule up to 4 cleanings a week, and the robot gets over the air updates WYBOT C2 ↗.
It is easy to live with. It weighs 17.6 pounds, recharges in about 3 hours and parks itself at the pool edge when finished WYBOT C2 ↗. Bob Vila ran it every other day and said that kept the floor, walls and waterline clean Bob Vila ↗.
Owner reviews on WYBOT's store are strong, with 271 reviews and 91 percent at 5 stars WYBOT C2 ↗. Those are on the seller's own site, so weigh them accordingly.
Where it falls short
There is no smart mapping. The C2 lacks AI cleaning WYBOT C2 ↗, and Bob Vila noted its randomized cleaning pattern and basic app controls Bob Vila ↗. It still covered the test pool well, but large or oddly shaped pools may take longer.
Runtime is shorter than some rivals. WYBOT rates it for up to 180 minutes in Eco mode WYBOT C2 ↗, and Bob Vila got about 2 hours per charge in testing Bob Vila ↗. The Beatbot AquaSense 2 is rated for up to 4 hours of floor cleaning AquaSense 2 ↗.
It is not a water treatment tool. WYBOT's own FAQ says it is for debris cleaning, not water quality, and should be used with your pump and chemicals WYBOT C2 ↗.
It does not skim the surface, and its suction is rated at up to 3,592 gallons per hour WYBOT C2 ↗, about half the 6,800 GPH that Beatbot quotes for its Sora models Beatbot Sora ↗.
Pricing and plans

It is sold on WYBOT's own store, which advertises free shipping and dispatch within 1 working day, and through authorized resellers WYBOT C2 ↗ WYBOT policy ↗. WYBOT also sells it in a bundle with its F1 solar skimmer WYBOT ↗.
