InstaHeadshots now operates as Magic Studio's AI headshot service. It is one of the fastest options, with results in about 15 minutes and payment only after you decide you want the photos. It suits people who need a headshot today, but its refund rules are strict and HeadshotPro is cheaper to start.
What InstaHeadshots is
InstaHeadshots is an AI headshot generator that has been folded into Magic Studio. The old instaheadshots.com address now redirects to magicstudio.com/headshots, and the page describes the product as "InstaHeadshots, now Magic Studio" Magic Studio ↗.
The process is the same as most rivals. You upload about 10 selfies with different backgrounds, angles and lighting, choose styles such as business casual, formal, casual or creative, and the service trains a separate AI model on your face Magic Studio ↗. You get your headshots through an emailed download link Magic Studio ↗.
It is a one time purchase, not a subscription, and you get full commercial rights to the images Magic Studio ↗. Hands on testing is in progress, and we will update this review with our results.
What it does well
Speed is the headline. Magic Studio says headshots are ready in about 15 minutes, with model training taking 2 to 60 minutes depending on the package Magic Studio ↗. In Fastio's May 2026 comparison of nine generators, it was the fastest tool tested, at about 15 minutes after uploading 10 selfies Fastio ↗. Fastio suggested it for same day job applications, conference sign ups and last minute profile updates Fastio ↗.
You can look before you pay. The service says you pay only after you decide you want the headshots Magic Studio ↗, and Fastio noted you can preview watermarked results before buying Fastio ↗. That lowers the risk of paying for a batch that does not look like you.
Image quality got credit for texture. Fastio said it produces natural skin and hair without the over smoothing common in AI portraits Fastio ↗.
It has a large user base. The page shows a 5 out of 5 Trustpilot score from about 17,129 reviews and claims more than 36 million headshots delivered Magic Studio ↗.
Privacy terms are reasonable. You can delete your photos and headshots at any time, data is deleted automatically 30 days after your headshots are created, and images are not sold or used to train other models Magic Studio ↗.
Where it falls short
Results are not always consistent. Fastio saw minor artifacts on close inspection and variation between photos in the same batch Fastio ↗. That is common across AI headshot tools, but it means you should expect to discard some images.
The refund rules are tight. The satisfaction guarantee pays out only if you did not get at least 4 decent headshots and have not downloaded any, and you must email support within 3 days of receiving them Magic Studio ↗. HeadshotPro offers a redo or a full refund if results do not look like you HeadshotPro ↗.
Pricing is not fully published. The page lists a starting price of $59 for 50 headshots and 5 looks, and mentions Starter, Basic and Premium packs without prices Magic Studio ↗. Fastio reported $49 for 40 headshots, $59 for 100 and $69 for 200 Fastio ↗. Edits to outfits or backgrounds and upscaling for print cost extra Magic Studio ↗. Default output is 1024 by 1024 pixels Magic Studio ↗.
The rebrand may also confuse buyers. Older reviews and links refer to InstaHeadshots, while checkout now happens under the Magic Studio name Magic Studio ↗.
Pricing and plans
