The Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro is the most balanced robot vacuum and mop we found for around $1,000. Independent lab results are above average on carpet, pet hair and mopping, it shrugs off long hair, and its dock handles almost all the upkeep, so it is our pick for most homes.
What the Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro is
The Qrevo Edge 3 Pro is a robot vacuum and mop with a full service dock. The robot vacuums and mops in one run, and the dock refills it with warm water, re-washes the mop based on how dirty the floor was, and empties dust into a disposable bag Roborock product page ↗.
Roborock rates it at 36,000 Pa of suction, and says it recognizes more than 300 kinds of obstacles using structured light and an RGB camera Roborock product page ↗. It uses Roborock's Dual Zero Tangle brush system and a FlexiArm side brush for edges Roborock product page ↗. The robot measures 352 by 350 by 79.8 mm and weighs 4.96 kg Roborock product page ↗.
We have not tested it ourselves. Hands on testing is in progress, and this review draws on Roborock's specs and Vacuum Wars' independent lab results.
What it does well
It cleans carpet well. In Vacuum Wars' lab, it picked up 93% of sand embedded in carpet, against an average of about 78% Vacuum Wars ↗. It removed 87.5% of pet hair from carpet, against an 82.2% average Vacuum Wars ↗. Vacuum Wars gave it 4.02 stars, its top score in the $1,300 to $1,600 class, and called it its favorite Roborock to date Vacuum Wars ↗.
Long hair is not a problem. In a 7 inch hair test, no hair wrapped around either brush Vacuum Wars ↗. If you share a home with long haired people or pets, that saves you from cutting hair off the brush every week.
It gets around well. Roborock says it climbs double level thresholds up to 3.46 inches and single sills up to 1.77 inches, and lowers itself to reach under furniture as low as 3.13 inches Roborock product page ↗. Vacuum Wars measured it crossing a 57 mm barrier, a record for its lab, and found it covered about 13% more floor per minute than average Vacuum Wars ↗. Obstacle avoidance was above average Vacuum Wars ↗.
The dock does nearly all the work. Vacuum Wars reports the dock washes mop pads with very hot water, dries them with 131°F air, auto empties the bin for up to 65 days, dispenses detergent and refills with heated water Vacuum Wars ↗. Mopping was above average with relatively low water use Vacuum Wars ↗.
Where it falls short
Measured suction is lower than the spec suggests. Despite its 36,000 Pa rating, Vacuum Wars measured suction about one third below average, and airflow slightly below average Vacuum Wars ↗. Its carpet results were still strong, so this matters less in practice than on paper.
The onboard dustbin is small at 240 mL Vacuum Wars ↗. The dock empties it, so this only matters on big messes or very large homes.
It uses disposable dust bags, which is an ongoing cost Roborock product page ↗. Roborock's carpet cleaning function also has to be turned on manually in the app Roborock product page ↗.
Few owner reviews existed when Vacuum Wars tested it Vacuum Wars ↗. Roborock's store page also showed conflicting stock messages when we checked Roborock product page ↗. The standard warranty is only 1 year Roborock product page ↗.
