Murf AI is a voiceover studio with more than 200 AI voices in over 35 languages and add ons for Canva, Google Slides, PowerPoint and Adobe Captivate. It is worth it for teams that turn slides and training material into narrated video every month. For a few short clips, cheaper tools are a better buy, and its free plan does not allow downloads.
What Murf AI is
Murf is an AI voice generator built for business narration. It offers more than 200 voices across more than 35 languages Murf AI ↗. You paste a script into Murf Studio, pick a voice and adjust pitch, speed and intonation, with a custom pronunciation library for brand names and jargon Murf AI ↗.
It does more than text to speech. Murf lists dubbing that translates video or audio into other languages while keeping the original voice and tone, a voice changer that turns your own recordings into AI voiceovers, and voice cloning Murf AI ↗. A feature called Say It My Way lets you record how a line should sound to guide the AI Murf AI ↗.
For developers, Murf sells Falcon 2, a text to speech API aimed at real time voice agents, which Murf says starts speaking in under 100 milliseconds and costs $0.01 per minute Murf AI ↗.
What it does well
It plugs into the tools where training and sales content already lives. Murf lists integrations with Canva, Google Slides, PowerPoint and Adobe Captivate Murf AI ↗. If your decks and courses are built there, you can add narration without exporting and re editing a video.
It is built for polished, professional voiceovers. The Neuron recommends it for training, explainers, product demos and slide based voiceovers The Neuron ↗. Murf says its voices were made with professional voice actors who earn royalties Murf AI ↗.
Security matters to larger customers, and Murf lists SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and HIPAA compliance Murf AI ↗. Murf says it is used by more than 10 million developers, businesses and creators and holds 4.7 out of 5 from over 1,000 reviews on G2 Murf AI ↗.
The yearly hours can be good value at volume. Creator includes 24 hours of generation a year when billed annually CostBench ↗. A price tracker works that out to about $9.50 per hour if you use it all Smallest.ai ↗.
Where it falls short
The free plan is a demo. It is limited to 10 minutes of voice generation with no commercial license, and you can only download Murf voices on a paid plan Murf AI ↗.
Unused minutes do not roll over. CostBench reports that minutes expire at the end of each billing period and are forfeited if you cancel CostBench ↗. It also cites user reports that failed generations count against quotas and that a content filter has blocked legitimate medical or professional terms CostBench ↗. Plans auto renew and mid term downgrades are not allowed CostBench ↗.
Voice cloning is an Enterprise feature in practice. Third party trackers list custom voice clones only on Enterprise, not on Creator or Business CostBench ↗ Smallest.ai ↗.
Pricing is hard to confirm. Murf's own pricing page did not load for us, and Murf restructured its plans in July 2026, cutting six tiers to four CostBench ↗. Confirm the price at checkout. Hands on testing is in progress; we will update this review with results.
