OUR VERDICT

The Ecovacs DEEBOT T90 Max Plus Omni is a midrange robot vacuum and mop with very high rated suction, a self washing roller mop, hot water washing, hot air drying and a self emptying dock. At around $550 it packs one of the strongest spec sheets near that price, best suited to mostly hard floor homes with rugs and pets.

What the Ecovacs DEEBOT T90 Max Plus Omni is

The DEEBOT T90 Max Plus Omni is a robot vacuum and mop from Ecovacs, sold with an all in one dock. The robot vacuums, mops with a roller, and returns to the dock to empty its dust, wash the mop and dry it Ecovacs ↗.

Ecovacs rates suction at up to 40,000 Pa Ecovacs ↗. Instead of round spinning pads, it uses the OZMO Roller 3.0, a 27 cm microfiber roller that presses down at 3,800 Pa and spins at 200 RPM Ecovacs ↗. The dock rinses the roller with 32 jets of fresh water, never recycled, and Ecovacs says the wash water reaches up to 212°F Ecovacs ↗.

It maps your home with a dToF LiDAR sensor plus TrueDetect 3D obstacle detection, and it is 95 mm tall, so it fits under many low couches and beds Ecovacs ↗. You can control it from the Ecovacs app, an Apple Watch or by voice Ecovacs ↗.

What it does well

The spec sheet is strong for the price. Few robots near $550 combine 40,000 Pa rated suction, a roller mop, hot water mop washing and 113°F hot air drying of the roller, tank and dock Ecovacs ↗. Smart Home Compared calls it strong midrange value for mostly hard floor homes with pets, rugs and low furniture Smart Home Compared ↗.

It handles rugs sensibly. The roller lifts 15 mm when it meets carpet, and the robot changes its cleaning strategy by carpet type Ecovacs ↗. A ZeroTangle 4.0 main brush uses airflow channels to cut down on hair wrap Ecovacs ↗.

Upkeep is light. The dock empties dust into a 2.5 liter bag, which Ecovacs says saves chores for weeks Ecovacs ↗. Obstacle detection picks up items as small as 2 cm, such as cables and slippers Ecovacs ↗. Smart Home Compared lists a 5,200 mAh battery rated for about 200 minutes, plus support for Alexa, Google Home and Home Assistant Smart Home Compared ↗.

Where it falls short

Thresholds can be a limit. Ecovacs rates it for thresholds and door tracks up to 20 mm Ecovacs ↗. Taller sills may stop it.

Some conveniences are missing. Smart Home Compared notes there is no automatic detergent dispenser, so you add cleaning solution by hand, and that it works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only Smart Home Compared ↗. It also says Matter, Apple Home and SmartThings support are not documented Smart Home Compared ↗.

Details are thin. Ecovacs' page does not state the water tank size, runtime in minutes, noise level or warranty terms Ecovacs ↗. Smart Home Compared lists the standard one year warranty Smart Home Compared ↗. Hands on testing is in progress; we will update this review with results.
